No nie wiem czy podziała dłużej:

Wykresy przedstawiają liczbe PCtów, tempo(?) oraz liczbę przeliczonych trajektorii.
Ich założenia (według wykresów) zostały już prawie osiągnięte, więc nie wiem jak to będzie z projektem. Albo dorzucą nowe jednostki i poszerzą badania, albo projekt skończy się za 1 lub 2 dni.

Swoją drogą dużym zaskoczeniem dla mnie jest ten projekt. Wygląda jakby był od dawna w ukryciu przygotowywany. Zupełnie inaczej niż projekty, z którymi dotąd mieliśmy styczność, które zaczynały od Alphy i stopniowo wszystko rozwijano.
Fakt, że nie zrobili strony po angielsku wynika z tego, że planowali go tylko dla mieszkańców Zaragozy. Ale hiszpańscy użytkownicy powiadomili o nim resztę świata i od razu na tych wykresach widać efekty :P

Co do dalszego istnienia projektu - byłaby to związane z nową pracą. Musieliby coś więcej przygotować.

Aún no han pasado diez días desde que arrancó el proyecto y ya somos más
de 1500 usuarios registrados (2200 ordenadores) que han aportado cerca de
70.000 horas de CPU, haciendo de ZIVIS una potente plataforma de cálculo al
servicio de la investigación en nuestra ciudad. Habiendo visto que se podían
alcanzar con creces los objetivos mínimos que el equipo científico había
fijado, hemos aumentado la precisión de los cálculos de la aplicación
piloto del proyecto, y se van a seguir enviando cálculos de fusión para sacar el
máximo provecho de la infraestructura y poder obtener así unos formidables
resultados científicos. Por supuesto debemos agradecer también la notable
participación de gente de fuera de nuestra ciudad. Este éxito no hubiera
sido posible sin todos vosotros, así que, en primer lugar, muchas gracias a
todos en nombre de la ciencia y del equipo de ZIVIS.



Aprovechamos este primer correo para contaros que hoy ha comenzado el
periodo para optar a los premios del concurso. Como introducción, os indicamos que
existe una modalidad individual y otra colectiva, siendo posible participar
en ambas. En la modalidad individual se ha introducido una categoría en la
que se hace énfasis en el tiempo total que un ordenador ha estado trabajando
para ZIVIS y otra en la que se busca la productividad de las máquinas
personales. En las categorías colectivas se hace énfasis en la aportación total
al proyecto de todas las máquinas conectadas. Por supuesto, un usuario
individual puede tener varias máquinas conectadas al proyecto, pero a la hora de
puntuar se seleccionará la de mejor rendimiento para la categoría
individual y se sumaran todas para la categoría de colectivos. Las bases del concurso

Aprovechando el arranque del concurso, es posible que puedas estar
interesado en ajustar tus datos personales tales como nombre, apellidos (necesarios
para la modalidad individual) y organización de pertenencia (necesario para la
modalidad colectiva). Recuerda que dichos datos son los que se recogen
durante el proceso de registro
(http://cmisapp.zaragoza.es/ciudad/conocimiento/zi vis/descargar.htm) y que siempre podrás modificar introduciendo el mismo
e-mail y password (no hace falta volver a descargar e instalar el software de
ZIVIS, pero sí llegar hasta el cuarto paso del registro).



Si lo deseas, ahora también puedes completar tu información personal
indicando tu ubicación sobre un nuevo recuadro gráfico en el tercer paso del
registro, en el que puedes dar tu localización aproximada sobre un mapa de la
ciudad (aunque es posible visualizar cualquier parte del mundo). El mapa con
todas las localizaciones es público, y se puede consultar en la sección >>
Estadísticas/Localización.



Es posible también que te interese ajustar otras preferencias más
avanzadas, como el uso de ancho de banda y de potencia de cómputo que autorizas a
ZIVIS. Esos datos se ajustan en la sección de usuario de la llamada "pagina de

pulsando sobre un botón del cliente BOINC.

Z ostatniego newslettera:

Some scientific results are already in the website http://zaragozaciudad.net/zivis/ and I think that someone is translating them, to French at least. We are -arguably- very advanced in the debugging of boinc applications, and now we are catching some graphics errors, so some units are sent without graphics in order to compare performance. There will be a halt of the server Friday or Monday, to add extra disk storage. It will take a couple hours. We are now exporting stats and some BOINCstats sites are already downloading them. Note that credits will keep the current calibration during the contest period, dont ask me to recalibrate, at least before 15 May. Finally, and related to the contest, we thank to the people who has registered via our googlemaps mash-up, but I would like to ask an extra favour: to repeat the four step process deleting the "Primer Apellido" field, as the lack of this field is a clue for the
rest of participants to know that you are not a local participant of the local contest (we will list you in the local classifications but we will not assign you a order number). Note that you do not need to reenter your map position nor other field, just delete the field and go forward until you reach the download step; no need to download any, of course.

Jak to mówią, co kraj to obyczaj, oni mają kolorowe plakaty o BOINC, a my marsze Wszechpolaków (i też jest wesoło ;) ). Jestem ciekaw ile by wyniosła taka jednorazowa akcja, rozwieszenia plakatów w największych miastach, reklamująca BOINC i od biedy naszą stronę – jakbyście znaleźli klei i drukarnie (100 sztuk chyba nie wyszłoby drogo), to Poznań rezerwuje dla siebie :P .

Zauważyłem jeden błąd. Jestem ciekaw czy u Was jest podobnie. Po przerwaniu liczenia próbki (normalny restart kompa lub restart samego menadżera) wywala błąd próbki. I odsyła jako próbkę z błędem. Na razie więcej problemów nie zauważyłem :)

Myślę, że w Polsce taka akcja plakatowania nie miałaby wielkiego odzewu.. Przeciętny Kowalski, na ogół nie zaangażuje się w nic z czego nie ma wymiernej korzyści - taka juz jest mentalność Polaka..

Większy skutek mogłoby osiągnąć  plakatowanie miasteczek akademickich... A szczególnie kierunków ścisłych, gdzie kompy studentów na ogół chodzą całymi dniami...

Dziwna sprawa... Przeliczył mi normalnie próbkę, a wynik ma 170MB :!: Co on policzył? I skąd taki dyuży wynik? Właśnie ją odsyłam i zastanawiam się co mi sieć zwolniła...

dzisiaj w newsletterze pisali właśnie że jest trochę próbek których wyniki zajmują do 250 MB(!), ponieważ jest ich niewiele osoby które mają słaby transfer mogą kasować takie próbki

Przyporządkowana do jednostek, które dają duże pliki wynikowe (nawet ponad 200 MB). Jak się chce dostawać takie jednostki, trzeba sobie w preferencjach na stronie zmienić z 'no' na 'yes' jedną z opcji. A sama aplikacja nie rózni się specjalnie od poprzedniej, nowych obrazków (tej protezy grafiki) też nie przybyło.

Czyli:
1. Podliczają wyniki lokalnego konkursu - dla mieszkańców Saragossy (w którym chyba laptopa można było wygrać :) ) - stąd 3 godz. przerwy w działaniu projektu.
2. Aktualna aplikacja będzie liczyć jeszcze przez około tydzień do osiągnięcia celu. Ciekawe czy to będzie koniec projektu?
3. Z drugiej strony jest napisane "do osiągnięcia celu tej części projektu", więc może wkrótce pojawią się nowe jednostki?

A to dla mnie oznacza, że jak tylko znowu projekt ruszy - to atakuje wszystkimi siłami na całego aby realny stał się mój cel 5k w tym projekcie. Tylko pytanie czy przez tydzień zdąże :roll:

Zivis: data collection closing this week.   



The current phase of Zivis, based in the lgv[1234] scientific application, will close later this week, going to hibernation until further development. You will find the message "No work available" or similar.

The data disk has collected up to date 1,505,841,760 Kbytes and it is 84% full. We will close at 90%-95%. We have collected statistics for the following numbers of trajectories:

425594 B1
263110 C0
262959 C1
153820 D0
152302 D1

And we have collected full graphical description for the following numbers.

As you can imagine, the extant part of the run is concentrating on results for D0 and D1. It can be interesting to remark that the initial desing of Zivis aimed for 100000 trajectories of each kind, 800000 total.

A Spanish email with instructions related to our network-deployed BOINC clients will follow to the closure of the calculations, and then later in the week an official statement about the future of the project will appear.

We have been asked, from international participants to recalibrate the credits in the database to adjust to more modern credit assingments, but we are not sure about if it can be done without endangering the database integritiy, so it will be checked in a last step (so, no promises, except that next time -whenever it happens- we will calibrate before).

Koniec już tuż tuż ( a mi wciąż 1750 do założonego celu zostało;-(  W dodatku na sam koniec jest zapowiedziana jakaś rekalibracja kredytów. Ciekawe w którą stronę bo mi póki co daje jakieś 6pkt na godzinę - czyli raczej kiepściutko...
