Z tego tematu wynika, że nie ma wersji aplikacji einsteina dla Linuksa na 64 bit.

Jeżeli chcesz używać Einsteina na 64bit (lub inne aplikacje 32 bitowe), to możesz zainstalować w systemie odpowiednie biblioteki umożliwiające uruchomienie aplikacji 32 bitowych na 64 bit (ale nadal będzie to aplikacja 32 bitowa).

Ja na razie używam BOINC 64 bit, ponieważ zawsze coś szybciej będą się liczyć inne projekty, a w Einstein@home na razie mam sporo punktów. Mam nadzieję, że niedługo będzie dostępna aplikacja einsteina dla Linux 64 bit.

Po zaistalowaniu  app-emulation/emul-linux udało się uruchomić BOINC Managera :D

Przeinstalowałem system, co potrzebuje zaistalować teraz? :

Mam 5.4.11, próbowałem różnych wersji, ale ciągle to samo. Przeinstaluję system i zobacze co będzie wtedy.

Nie działa, nawet z poziomu root'a i z pełnymi prawami. Wydaje mi się, że będę musiał zainstalować ponownie system.  :?

System instalowałem niedawno, może kilka, kilkanaście dni temu (na poprzedniej instalacji nie było tego problemu). Sprawdzałem narzędziem netstat i nie widzę żeby coś kolidowało z BOINC Managerem.

Zastanawia mnie dlaczego BOINC Manager nie może się połączyć z localhost (pomijając to, że uruchamia się dopiero po kilku minutach).

BOINC Manager uruchamia się dopiero po kilku minutach, ale nie może się połączyć z "localhost".

Moja dystrybucja to Gentoo, BOINC Manager przestał działać prawdopodobnie po aktualizacji całego systemu.

BOINC Manager uruchamia się dopiero po około 3 minutach, po uruchomieniu probuje on połączyć się localhost, ale bez skutku.
Gdy chcę dołączyć się do jakiegoś projektu (Attach to project) komunikat:

Nie wiem czy to ma znaczenie, ale plik instalacyjny to boinc_5.4.11_i686-pc-linux-gnu.sh, a ja mam system 64 bitowy.
Dziwi mnie to, że wcześniej wszystko działało, a teraz mam problem z uruchomieniem.
Nie mam pojęcia co robić. Pomóżcie!

Wielkie dzięki, już wszystko wróciło do normy i program liczy.

Po ściągnięciu jednostki BOINC Menager nie liczy jej, w polu status wyświetla informację "aktywność wstrzymana". na zakładce "Komunikaty" ostatni komunikat to "Suspending network activity - user is active". Proszę o pomoc!

Moc procesora nie marnuje się, ponieważ liczę jeszczę w Eistein@home. Dzięki za informację!

Jak mogę pobrać kilka jednostek "na zapas" w LHC@home. Ostanio udostępnili serię jednostek, ale przeliczyłem tylko 3 i już się skończyły i muszę czekać na następne.
